Here are a few more snaps from Sunday's race. Plates 95 and 92 are Danny Pate and Dave Zabriskie, both on Slipstream. No clue about the other riders.

Tour of California Race

Checked out the finish of the Amgen Tour of California stage race at the Rose Bowl on Sunday. Despite rainy weather, there were a ton of spectators on hand. Hincapie won the stage and Leipheimer won the race for the second year running.

Saturday Road Ride

Got a smokin' deal on a basically new Scott CR1 from the Road Bike Review classifieds two weeks ago. After a fitting and some minor modifications, everything was ready to go today.

Headed up Topanga Canyon, across Mulholland, down Malibu Canyon and back on PCH. Was concerned that the 53/39 chainrings in front might be too tall but they turned out to be fine.

My small camera went MIA for a week but it's now back in my possession. Here's a pic of Mike McCarthy finishing Rusty Car single-track taken last Saturday.



Here's a short clip showing a 360 degree view of Sullivan Ridge, Brentwood/Santa Monica, the bay and the last part of Backbone heading into Will Rogers.

Warm Weather Weekend

After several rainy and cold weekends, the weather here finally turned nice. Temps were in the 70s and the air was clear.

On Saturday, rode Backbone Trail into Will Rogers w/ Mike and Miles. Despite a few new rain ruts, the trail was in great shape. Couldn't say the same for my lungs.



On Sunday, did a short Westridge/Sullivan fireroad loop on tired legs.
